Middle School Small Groups…

I have to keep reminding myself it is the small victories that really matter in Middle School Ministry.  I am thinking of those times in small groups discussions that everyone is off topic, unfocused, and sharing pointless stories–then, BOOM, it hits.  Real life comes out in the midst of it and a student shares something they have been going through but haven’t had the courage to speak it yet.  Or, perhaps, they say something about God that finally clicked with them.  Either way, those are the building blocks of the foundation they need at this stage in life.  Those are the kind of spiritual victories that give you energy for the next week.
